WE NOW OFFER PIANO LESSONS!
We have been working on adding more instruments to the list for instruction here at the studio and after polling students and parents, Piano was the next popular choice!
These lessons will be offered at our new location (see article below) and will be given by an excellent new teacher that I have carefully selected to teach for us. These lessons will be offered on an full 88 key upright piano that is in the process of being moved to our new location; only the best for all of our students! Stay tuned for more details as I introduce this officially in the next newsletter!

Davis Guitar Studio now offers Guitar lessons over Skype!
In order to give you the best education possible, these video lessons are
designed to be an occasional supplement and replacement to your weekly in-person lessons. If you can’t make it to your normal lesson (i.e. sickness, bad road conditions, etc.) but would still like the instruction, you can call in at your scheduled
lesson time. You can even take a lesson while you are out of town on vacation!
Any Skype lesson MUST be confirmed with our office at least 24 hours in
This is a service that is not offered by any other
guitar lessons studio
Thanks for being part of our school!
IMPORTANT: WE ARE MOVING!
As you can see by the lesson availability, we are
reaching capacity! Mr. Davis has already started a
waiting list of students and Mr. Wisniewski is now
adding days to his schedule...this is a GOOD thing.
More students means a larger studio, a larger studio means MORE opportunities for everyone!
Ok...so you might be wondering WHERE are is the studio moving to?
We are moving to the Plymouth Arts Council (774 North Sheldon Rd). This location is the same where the recitals are held twice a year. Lessons will be given in the Artsco House. This is a house that is located on the same property as the main Arts Council Building, just south of the main building.
STUDENT OF THE MONTH
What inspired you to start taking guitar lessons?
My friend plays the guitar and I wanted to learn some songs.
The guitar is a pretty popular instrument! What is the coolest thing You’ve been learning in
Your guitar lessons?
Strumming techniques and more recently hammeron’s and pulloff’s as well as power chords. Do you have any pets, what are their names?
I have a dog and his name is Rusty. Rusty is a Shepard What is your favorite food?
Chicken fingers. Lee’s chicken has the BEST chicken fingers in town.
Mason has been studying at the studio for about 7 months so far and has been making great progress. Be sure to subscribe to Davis Guitar Studio’s
YouTube channel to see his latest performance at the Winter Guitar Concert!
This is my pet Maggie, she just had her sixth Birthday. She is part Bichon and part Shih Tzu, the mix is called a Shichon. We got her from my Uncle when she was a puppy. She likes to sit on my music when I play, I don’t know if it is because she wants me to stop, or if she likes to be close to the music. She is important because she is always kind to everyone she meets, and keeps the kitchen floor crumb free.

DGS WINTER GUITAR RECITAL UPDATE
Davis Guitar Studio’s winter recital has already come and gone. looking back I have to say that the recitals keep getting better every year! This year there was a large turnout as family, friends and special guests all gathered at the Plymouth Arts Council to view and enjoy all the talent that the studio has to offer. Students ranging from ages 7 to 43 performed for an audience of 90 plus people. A wide variety of music from Bach to Rock was heard in the recital hall that evening. Solo guitar pieces like “somebody I used to know”, vocal and guitar pieces such as “signs” by Tesla and even classics like “Tom Dooley” were performed by students of playing levels from beginners, intermediate and advanced.
